You will embark yourself on a quest to stop him and prevent the world from being consumed by the Void. But there are dark secrets in the Order, and while you escape from your confinement you discover that Bishop Alexandar has ulterior motives to declare Sourcerers as criminals. Blaming your kind for the death of the Divine, you are bound in chains and in wait for them to “cure” you of your powers. The Magisters of the Divine Order have captured you and you are taken to Fort Joy. Your ability to summon monstrous creatures from the encroaching Void makes you a threat to the rest of the people. This time, the tides have turned and you are one of the Sourcerers. As of now though, I don't have the time or energy.The sequel to Divinity: Original Sin takes place one thousand years before the events of its award-winning predecessor. If I was in highschool and had a ton of free time to devote to a game I would enjoy it more. I get why people like the challenge of this franchise but to me it just feels unfair and tedious. As a DnD fan myself I can say that it does that really well in some ways but awfully in other ways.

This game really wants to capture that DnD feel. Your AI companions will stupidly walk directly into acid and other dangers which leads to you having to tediously move them individually. A build you spent hours working on can suddenly become completely useless a couple encounters later. No respawning enemies eliminate the ability to grind for more money if you made a purchasing mistake.

The weapons/armor being obsolete within a level or two is annoying. The physical/magic armor system is bad imo, forcing you to shape your whole attack strategy on damaging one or the other. It makes for a game where you're saving every 10 minutes 'just in case'. For instance I've been team killed in an ambush before being able to move a single party member. There's many many situations where it's overly difficult to win without having prior knowledge. There's a lot to like in this game but I just found it way too tedious.
